Morton’s ICT 10

So that is it, the end of the line. I hope you all have a wonderful summer and keep updating your blogs, I may take a peek every once in  a while, especially when I am abroad.

Morton really out.

Today you should be marking each other’s games. Ignore the post that said change the name!! Do not change the name!! What you can do is make a self extracting file by clicking on the fourth icon underneath the Tools tab in the RPG maker. This will create a file I can open on any computer.

You may or may not have heard…I am in fact taking a two year leave of absence from School District # 8 and will be going to Las Palmas, which is a part of the Canary Islands, a colony of Spain. The world though small in terms of the universe is immensely big for you and I, so I have decided to explore for a couple more years before all the other responsibilities of life become even greater. I wish you all well, remember to be good to one another, you live in a small town and the your actions are known by everyone. Think of school as an opportunity, a privilegde, not a punishment. The teachers here do all that they can for you, they care for you, they want you to succeed, and often you forget about that.

Thank you for being honest, for trying your best, and for being a part of Morton’s class.

THE LAST GAME DAY!!

Do you know where the Canary Islands are?

Basically these islands are thought to have the best weather in the world…so take care of yourself, be good to others, and keep your head up!!

I will miss all of you and will be back in two years time.

I am unfortunately hugging my porcelain friend…

For my marking purposes please go into your U:drive find the project folder where you game was created and rename it THE GAME Plus YOUR INITIALS. Nick could you go around the class and help people title this folder. The few ladies that made a game using Gamemaker should do the same…You do not need to copy it to the T:drive!!

Now, I have instructed the TOC that if there are any movies or videos on your screens (anything other than Game maker or RPG) you will be AWARDED the a package which contains the all the simplistic but main basic concepts of ICT…and of course then you will be asked to work on it at the central tables.

You should all be playing each other’s games.

Nick, Steve, or Will please give the TOC a demo of how these games have been created.

Today is the official beginning of Game Testing. All games should be completed, gliches worked out, story lines clear…GAME ON!

I do not want you watching Movies or Videos…you should be continually moving around the class and playing the games people developed!
